1. Palawan

Don’t miss: Puerto Prinsesa Subterranean River National Park, Tubbataha Reefs
Natural Park

Take advantage of one long weekend by going to one of MIMAROPA’s gems. Don’t miss
Puerto Princesa’s Subterranean River National Park, recognized as one of the 7 Wonders
of Nature, a Ramsar Wetland Site, and part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

If you’ve got the time, you can also visit Tubbataha Reef. These magnificent wonders of
nature have been around since the Pleistocene Epoch, so before more adverse climate
changes hit, you better take your chance to visit.

2. Bohol

Don’t miss: The Chocolate Hills, Panglao Beach

No visit to Bohol would be complete without seeing its famous Chocolate Hills. If you
really want to see it in its full ‘chocolate’ glory, visit during the summer or dry season,
when the grass turns from green to brown which accounts for its chocolate-y appearance.

You can also maximize your visit in Bohol by enjoying its white sands beaches in Panglao,
home of some of the beautiful white sand beaches in the Philippines.

3. Sablayan

Located in the province of Occidental Mindoro, Apo Reef is one of the most popular
diving sites in the country. This awesome contiguous coral reef system is the second-
largest in the world, and the largest in the Philippines!

4. Benguet

Don’t miss: Mt. Pulag

If you’re feeling more adventurous than most, take a hike at Mt. Pulag, the highest peak
in Luzon, where you will witness an endless sea of clouds once at the summit. The
entire hike would be tiresome and oftentimes cold, but once you see Mother Nature in
full glory, it would be oh so worth it.

5. Camarines Norte

Don’t miss: Parola Island (Panganiban, Camarines Norte)

Aside from famous spots (like Mayon Volcano), the Bicol region has a lot to offer, try
visiting the pink sand beach of Panganiban, Camarines Norte. Officially called Talion
island, this remote place is only about 30 minutes away from mainland Camarines
Norte. If you want relaxation, peace, and quiet, this would be the perfect place!

6. Chiang Rai, Thailand

Don’t miss: White Temple, Blue Temple, Huay Pla Kang Temple, Singha Park

Check out our neighboring countries in ASEAN like Thailand. Bangkok is always crowded
and busy, so try to go up north in Chiang Rai. Often overlooked in favor of Chiang Mai,
Chiang Rai has a lot to offer from temples to picturesque fields. Chiang Rai has an
extremely rich culture, history, and food that will make you want to come back for more.

7. Paris – Amsterdam – Brussels
