Following the Magna Carta for MSMEs, the week in July is considered National MSME Week. It’s to promote ongoing awareness of the importance of small businesses in empowering individuals and building nations, as well as to celebrate and uphold the country’s unwavering commitment to the promotion, growth, and development of small businesses.
It is a great pleasure to partner with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during National MSME Week. DTI leads the efforts in promoting MSMEs globally, and their engagement will help shape the future of businesses. Radiowealth Finance Company (RFC) is proud to have partnered with DTI during this year’s MSME Week for an outreach campaign. It focuses on human resource development at all levels through various skill-based training programs, provision of funding support, and facilitating linkages with potential partners through business matchmaking activities.
DTI is an agency of the Philippine government that promotes trade and industry development through policy formulation, regulation, and promotion of competitive markets. Its mission is to promote economic growth through investments in human capital, ensure safety and health protection, and encourage innovation & entrepreneurship among SMEs. Additionally, to promote international trade by enhancing the competitiveness of domestic enterprises, research & technology application, and capacity-building programs for professionals.
Last July 28, 2022, in Tagum City, Davao del Norte, DTI launched its virtual celebration of the MSME Week 2022 called “RISE MSMEs in the Digital Economy: Resilient, Innovative, Sustainable, and Empowered.” The goal was to feature the government agency and private sector’s efforts to economic recovery. It highlighted the tenacity of MSMEs and how the pandemic brought to light the crucial role that e-commerce plays in their entrepreneurial journey. Also, the event affirmed the government’s promise to support Filipino MSMEs in their growth and expansion in an increasingly global and cutthroat e-commerce market brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With DTI partnership and the leadership of Field Sales Supervisor Amador Bismanos Jr., RFC was one of the speakers for the said event. The collaboration wants to launch a national awareness campaign about the significance of growing small and medium-sized businesses, especially micro, small, and medium-sized (MSMEs). And it’s been attended by the owners of medium-sized and small businesses. Gladly, RFC showcased how to extend help to these business owners through its financial services.
Partnering with DTI during the National MSME Week 2022 was a win for RFC, celebrating the nation’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and their contributions to local economies. It was a mixed emotion of excitement and fulfillment since RFC’s participation played a significant role. RFC knows how important it is for businesses to get involved with events like these and can’t wait to see what the future holds. It makes all Filipinos recognize their role in developing communities and creating opportunities for others. And hope those other companies will follow suit and continue to support their local businesses, empowering the owners and enhancing their financial stability.
