Collections and Recovery Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Collections & Account Management

  • Maintains good and professional relationship with customers.
  • Carry out the following bucket management procedures for Loan Accounts that falls into more than 91 days past due.
    – Serve Collection Notices such as Demand/Atty. Letters
    – Maintain the New C.E. of Handling Branches at least 95%
  • Plans and strategizes achievement of overall recoveries v/s targets through periodic aging review.
  • Ensures that all Big-Ticket accounts are 100% visited and initiates recoveries through updating, restructuring,
    repossession, and filling of appropriate Legal cases.

2. Recovery

  • Resolves and Recovers NPL’s accounts assigned by the HO Collection Team/District Manager.
  • Together with the DM, creates and implements sound debt collection plans and strategies.
  • Perform Skip Tracing/Locates Missing Collateral and/or Clients to start the Recovery process.
  • Searches publicly available databases to track down defaulters, including Credit Bureau information, background checks, and loan documents.
  • Negotiate payment settlements and/or arrangements on recoverable debts.
  • Prevents repeated payment delinquency by negotiating manageable debt payment arrangements.
  • Keeps records of all communications (hard copy, electronic records), payment plans agreed to, and amounts paid.
  • Updates the Account Information (Account 360) stored in the system by utilizing memos, notations, and remarks in the Debt Collection System.
  • Initiates filling of Legal cases and repossession proceedings if debt recovery fails.
  • Resolved at least 4 Big Ticket Accounts per Month/Branch assigned and update DCS. However, if only 1 CRS in the entire District the target reduces to 2 Big Ticket accounts per Branch.
  • Re-credit investigation of Suspicious accounts specially zero (0) payments and report immediately to Collection Group

3.Administration & Other Related Tasks

  • Weekly submission of reports to the District Manager and Collection Team the status and update of Big-Ticket Accounts cc: Rm
  • Assist in the verification and/or resolution of Customer Service Complaints (as needed or as instructed).
  • Report any wrong doing with proof address directly to the District Manager thru submission of incident report cc: with RM, Collection Head and Collection Manager
  • Assumes the role of the Branch Manager on his assigned branch/es (as Officer-InCharge) whenever there is prolonged absences/leaves, preventive suspension, and termination.
  • Performs other task related to Account Management, Collections, Remedial, and Filing of Legal cases and attending court hearings.
  • Keeps himself updated with the New Policies and Procedures pertaining to Account Management, Collections, Remediation and Legal and assist in the cascade thereof to the CCIs under his assigned branch/es.
  • Adheres to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

Qualifications

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in any Business Related course
  • With at least 2-year related work experience
  • Knows basic Microsoft applications (Word & Excel)
  • Proficient in numerical and analytical skills
